Hertzler Doings~Sept.14-20,2009

Mon.-PTF meeting in eve. Kids sang,"Cornerstone." Tom H. totalled his cab and trailer on way to our place with load of potash. He was unharmed. Neighbors helped clear the roads and spread the fertilizer on their fields. Michael and I went to the chiro./nutritionist for all kinds of treatment. Car window got stuck today. Regulator broke.

Tues.-Little boy first grader has been telling me that I am his favorite music teacher for weeks and I tell him that I'm his only music teacher. Today he said, "Mrs. Hertzler, you're my favorite music teacher 'cause you're my only music teacher." I should have left well enough alone. Susan made humongous peanut butter eggs for PJ and Jessica as a thankful you all they've done for her in Missionettes. She gave nice non-edible gifts to Miss Julie and Miss Phyllis too. Her idea. She's moving up to youth.

Wed./Thurs.-Met with Sara. Went to dentist.

Fri.-haircuts; Esther P. fell-injured her brain. Praying for her. Michael had Travis, Chace, and Jordan here overnight for his birthday party. When we woke up Sat. morning, they had their chairs on the driveway and were watching the sun rise.

Sat.-news about murders in Farmville coming out. Horrible realizations that the pastor at the nearby church, his wife, daughter, and daughter's friend were the ones who were murdered. The church was having a community outreach that day and continued with it since their pastor would have wanted them to. Phil and I sang several hymns. Philip, Michael, and Susan helped us sing 'Forever Young', dedicated to Marvin G.

Sun.-The gates of hell will not prevail against God's church. We will overcome evil with good.
On Oct. 3, our church will show the goodness of God to a community that is rocked with the horror of blatant evil. Farmville is ripe for revival. God has prepared us. The community is also prepared.
Troubled and heavy hearted with the events of this past week. Internet service down all week. I am typing this on a laptop that has problems.
