The book of Peter holds some good teaching on what to do if you are serving under a difficult authority. Some of his writings jumped out at me the other day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 Peter 2:18-"Servants, be submissive to your masters
with all fear,
not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh."
Why?
1 Peter 2:21-"For to this you were called,
because Christ also suffered for us,
leaving an example, that you should follow in His steps."
1 Peter 2:23-Revile not...commit yourself to Him who judges justly,
just like Jesus did when He was reviled and when He suffered.
1 Peter 4:8-Have fervent love for one another,
for love will cover a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:19-Commit your soul to Him in doing good.
1 Peter 5:6,7-Humble yourself and cast your care on Him.
You are not in this alone.
And hold onto this promise,
1 Peter 5:10,11~
"Now may the God of all grace,
who called us to His eternal glory
by Christ Jesus,
after you have suffered a while,
perfect, estabish, strengthen,
and settle you.
To Him be glory and dominion
forever and ever. Amen."
