We can be in debt in many ways.
If we spend more money than we make, we will be in financial debt.
If we eat more calories than we burn, we will be in physical debt.
If we are addicted to sugar, nicotine, caffeine, or alcohol, we are indebted to chemicals.
If we are sleep deprived, we are indebted to rest.
If we invest more time in others than in our family, we will be in familial debt.
If we expend more spiritual strength than we receive, we will be in spiritual debt.
If we bring more things into our home than what is going out, we will be in clutter debt.
If we take more from relationships than we give in, we will be in relational debt.
If we are bitter and think about what we do not have, we will be in emotional debt.
There are many ways to be in debt.
I don't want to be in debt anymore.
I want to spend less, eat less, frown less, talk less, complain less, be drained less.
I want to count my pennies, count my calories, and count my blessings.
I want to smile more, sing more, walk more, and drink more water.
I want to be disciplined in all of these areas, so I can be free.
Freedom isn't free.
This won't be easy.
I don't even know where to start.
I know if I focus on all of this debt,
I will feel snowed in.
Snow on snow,
with no time to shovel in between.
Jesus said, "Seek first My Kingdom and my righteousness
and all of these things will be added unto you."
I think that the things I want taken from me,
will be taken from me as well.
I focus on the light at the other end of this snow tunnel.
I dig and I dig and I focus on the light.
