Haiti's president has renounced voodoo as the countries religion. He called for 3 days of prayer and fasting. 250,000 people in 3 days signed a confession to accept Jesus. 101 of those had been voodoo witch doctors.

(Pastor Frank's sermon and my perception of what he said.)

Scripture-Matthew 15:21-28
Jesus had been in the land of Gennesaret and the multitudes came to Him to be healed.
He left there to go to a Gentile region of Tyre and Sidon.
A woman from that area came to Him and cried out,
"Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed."
Jesus didn't say a word to her.
The disciples had enough of her begging and urged Jesus to send her away.
He said,"I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
She came and worshiped Him, saying, "Lord, Help me!"
He answered,"It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs."
She was quick and answered,"Yes, Lord, but even the little pet dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table."
Jesus answered her and said,
"O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire."
And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) This was an imperfect mother. Her daughter was demon-possessed. There was an atmosphere in the home that invited the presence of demons.
2) Perhaps Jesus had deliberately set up this scenario to demonstrate what great faith looks like.
God is looking for a people of faith.
3) Our name is not important. What really mattered about this woman
was not her name, but that Jesus called her a woman of great faith.
Faith is not about praying and always receiving an answer.
Faith is believing in God even when we don't hear from Heaven.
She bowed and worshipped even while she was being ignored.
4) This woman had a determination and would not take 'no' as an answer.
This woman determined not to be handicapped because of her limitations.
Her limitations served as a catalyst to cause her to seek after Jesus.
She was determined on behalf of her daughter's well-being
to find an answer for her in Jesus.
The term 'dog' that Jesus used was not the derogatory form of 'dog' that was used in that day.
It's meaning is more like a term of endearment for a pet.
The time for the Gentiles was not at hand,
but Jesus moved beyond the timetable to give this woman
a miracle, because she was a woman of great faith.
Know His name.
Don't give up.
Don't get offended, you may miss your miracle.
Worship while you ask.
Worship while you wait.
