In the Center

We say, "Being in the center of God's will is the safest place to be," and we send them off to Kenya, and South Dakota, and Thailand.
I think we should say, "Being in the center of God's will is the safest place to die."

Jesus, being in the center of God's will, was led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
Later, being in the center of God's will, He was led to a cross, and died a sinner's death.

The disciples, being in the center of God's will were told by Jesus to get in the boat and go to the other side of the lake. In the midst of His will, they encountered a life-threatening storm, and would have died had He not intervened on their behalf.

Most of the disciples, being in the center of God's will, died horrible deaths at the hands of sinful men because of their belief in Jesus Christ.

God did not keep them safe from death;
He kept them safe from evil within.
