Mark portrays Jesus as the suffering Son of Man who is in fact, the Son of God.
He wrote his gospel in A.D. 65-70.
It is believed that he wrote it after Peter's death.
My Bible has these notes:
"In A.D. 64 Nero accused the Christian community of setting the city of Rome on fire, and thereupon instigated a fearful persecution in which Paul and Peter perished. In the midst of the persecution of the church, living under the constant threat of death, Mark writes his "good news."
I've been reading at least one chapter in the gospels a day. The more I read about Jesus and what He did, the more faith I have to believe that He is willing to do for us what He did for those who saw Him in person. He has not changed.
