Exhausted

He had to be exhausted.
What a day.
First, the disciples came to Him and told Him that John the Baptist had been beheaded.
When He heard this, he left by boat to go some place just to get alone.
But the crowds followed Him and instead of becoming invisible, He felt compassion for them and healed their sick.
When it was evening, they were hungry and with the help of 5 loaves and 2 fishes and His disciples, He miraculously fed 5,000 men in addition to the women and children that were there.
Then,
He made His disciples get into a boat so they could go to the other side of the lake. After He sent the crowd away, He went up into the mountains to pray by Himself.

When the storm hit the lake, He went walking on the sea, and the disciples thought He was a ghost. He didn't say,'There are no ghosts." And later, He talked about the 'Holy' Ghost, so they must have had some experiences with ghosts under their belts. While trying to convince them that He was Himself, Peter ventured out of the boat and walked towards Him. I guess the 20 foot waves may have distracted Peter and
he started to sink. Jesus caught him and chided him gently for his little faith.
Once He got into the boat, the wind died down and those on the boat worshiped Him as the Son of God.
When the got to the other side, people came from all around, bringing their sick friends and relatives, just to touch the hem of His garment. Those who did were made perfectly whole.
And thus, began another day, in the life of Jesus.
Makes me tired just reading about it!
Compassion for the living caused Him to put His personal grieving for the dead on hold.
Matt. 14:13-36
