Last night, Michael went to New Life's Lock-In. The youth gather there and are not released until the morning. They play games all night long. Michael said it was the best year ever. Philip went with Christi to the Harvest All-nighter. I haven't heard much about that except that they had some sort of relay race to eat bags of candy and he was swallowing 4 gummy bears at a time and it made him feel sick. Freeman is in Cinncinnati, Ohio, with the Chi Alpha group from Longwood. They are at the Global Missions Conference. He left on Tuesday and will be back on Sat. Phil, Susan, and I went to the Daily Grind to hear Roger and his band play and to visit with friends. We got home in time to watch the final New Year's Celebration in New York City. One million people from all over the world were there.
This morning, we slept in a little bit. We went over to Tom's late morning for their annual brunch. Marv and Sherri and their family also come. It's a tradition. We eat mashed potatoes, pork and saurkraut, corn, and whatever else we want to have. Phil is at work now with Philip and Ray. Michael is watching a movie with Meredith and Christi at our place. Susan and I are doing odd jobs. I need a nap. Happy New Year's Day!
